Michael Graves College Lecture Series
This lecture will focus on a series of design projects, through which public space, cultural space are researched, designed and produced.
Chiasmus is an international atelier firm that was founded in New York City in 2005. The firm, in its 11th year, is now based in Beijing and Seoul. Chiasmus is known for its creative design approach and has been involved in a number of significant cultural, educational and residential projects. Noteworthy are the completed Red Diamond Theater and Shijitan Contemporary Art Center in Beijing, Kyunghee University New Campus Space21, and the IFEZ Arts Center in Incheon.
Recently Chiasmus has been involved with the exhibition of Dunhuang caves paintings at the Getty Museum and also with a government funded foundation called "Asian Renaissance Foundation", whose aim is a re-awaking of traditional craft, aesthetics, art and preservation through the research and renewal of classical buildings.
